SSforGG is a CAC-registered youth-led initiative driving grassroots sustainability through innovation, technology, policy advocacy, and community support — igniting climate action across Nigeria and the African continent.
We're not just an initiative — we're a movement, a force of change. With innovation as our compass, technology as our toolkit, policy advocacy as our megaphone, and community support as our backbone.
Who We Are
Sustainable Solutions for Green Growth (SSforGG) is a CAC-registered non-profit organisation on a relentless quest to find sustainable solutions to the pressing climate crisis and to champion grassroots sustainability across Nigeria and Africa.
We believe in the power of youth and the force of data-driven insights. Our approach empowers the rising generation to conduct evidence-based research that becomes the bedrock of policies, driving governments into urgent action against climate threats.
Key Programs & Activities
Our programs span climate research, digital education, land restoration, and global policy engagement — all rooted in communities and led by young Africans.
Program 01
Our flagship initiative equips young researchers and university students with skills in climate data analysis, environmental impact mapping, and land degradation modelling. Participants investigate local climate risks — drought, desertification, and ecosystem fragility — and produce solutions shared with policymakers and civil society partners.

Ecoverse is a mobile and augmented-reality digital learning tool that educates youth and communities on biodiversity, land degradation, and conservation practices. The platform gamifies ecosystem interactions and explores the effects of deforestation, erosion, desertification, and invasive species. Currently being piloted in Nigeria with plans to scale across West Africa.

We organise local reforestation drives, drought resilience workshops, and circular agriculture trainings with rural communities in Nigeria's arid regions. These include planting native tree species, anti-erosion initiatives, and revival of degraded communal farmlands through nature-based solutions aligned with UNCCD objectives.

SSforGG regularly engages in global and regional climate platforms including COP26, COP27, and African Climate Week, where we elevate youth perspectives on land and drought. We have hosted side-events focused on land restoration finance and indigenous knowledge systems, and contributed to YOUNGO publications and the Loss and Damage Youth Coalition.

SSforGG contributes to landmark global youth policy documents and UN-level platforms, ensuring that African youth voices are at the centre of decisions on land, drought, and climate finance.
Our policy contributions span UNDP, UNICEF, YOUNGO, and UNFCCC processes, with a focus on land restoration, agroecology, and loss & damage.
Co-authored inputs into this landmark UNDP & Italian Ministry of Ecological Transition document featuring recommendations on land restoration, agroecology, and drought mitigation as key climate solutions.
Contributed to multiple YOUNGO policy outputs including "Global Youth Position on Land Use and Food Systems" (COP26) and "Nature and Land Use Demands" (2022–2023).
Supported the creation of the LDYC Demands Document, calling for urgent financial support for communities facing land degradation and drought due to climate change.
As a member of UNICEF Nigeria's CCE-NTWG, SSforGG advocates for inclusive, land-focused climate learning and integration of climate education into Nigeria's national curriculum.
Countries of Operation
SSforGG operates primarily from Nigeria, with active regional collaborations extending into Kenya, Ghana, and Senegal. Our networks reach further into East and Southern Africa through strategic partnerships.
We work at the intersection of urban youth communities and rural arid regions, bridging grassroots realities with global climate processes. Our mission is to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with 100 million individuals in vulnerable communities across Africa.
